Downtown Cleveland offers only a few blocks of boutique shopping, restaurants and a depot museum that explains the town’s 1869 origins, but in its heart lies the Cotton House, a boutique hotel that’s part of the Southern Living Hotel Collection and the Marriott Tribute Portfolio. The hotel opened in 2019 and its hip interior with its modern art collection doesn’t interrupt the feeling of a bygone era.

THIS IS MY SOUTH
The Cotton House Hotel is named for Cotton Row, where farmers come to sell their crops in downtown Cleveland. The Marriott-affiliated property with 95 pet-friendly guestrooms is inspired by Mississippi blues artists. Guests can enjoy in-room record players with tunes from blues artists, two restaurants from a James Beard-nominated chef, and an in-house yoga studio and fitness center.

STYLE BLUEPRINT
The perfect home base for your Delta weekend, and a destination in and of itself, Cotton House is situated in downtown Cleveland on the quaint-but-bustling Cotton Row. Steps away from many can’t-miss Cleveland destinations, the location is unbeatable. Cotton House delivers chic, modern amenities while quirkily incorporating the Delta’s rich music history throughout the hotel. And there is no shortage of music flowing through the Delta and through this hotel. Turn up the tunes and take a step back in time when you put a record on the record players that pepper the property. Cotton House celebrates the spirit of this tight-knit community of the hardworking, hard-playing people and blends elements of the old and new South to create a one-of-a-kind hotel.

GARDEN & GUN
The brand-new Cotton House, Cleveland, Mississippi’s first boutique hotel, has all the charm and hospitality you’d expect in “the most Southern place on earth” ... the decor is decidedly Delta: Artwork depicts the rich landscape and even richer personalities, the rooftop has the laid-back feel of a juke joint, and the lobby beckons with easy chairs.

In the heart of the Delta lies a small town exploding with culture. Cotton House will surely offer Southern hospitality with a twist; it is yet another reason to visit the thriving city of Cleveland.
JUNE 2019
DELTA MAGAZINE
The much anticipated opening of Cotton House looms as large in the community as it does in the greatly changed Cleveland skyline. It will be a game-changer in this Delta town, providing one thing that has been generally lacking: a relaxed but luxurious boutique hotel for the growing number of tourists and travelers that come to the Delta for the blues, the food, and more.

“From the beginning, I’ve been drawn to the people and the heritage of the area. The hotel embraces the history of the region with a modern, energetic twist. Cotton House has long been a vision for many people. The hotel is truly an example of the hardworking, hard-playing people of the community and we are looking forward to welcoming locals and tourists alike to enjoy it.” — James McAffee, Cotton House, General Manager

It’s a universal irony: Sleepy little towns like Cleveland, Mississippi, boast very few places where visitors can actually sleep. Resolving that conundrum provided the impetus behind Cotton House,a five-story, ninety-five-room boutique hotel slated to open in downtown Cleveland. The decor is decidedly Delta: artwork depicts the rich landscape and even richer personalities, the rooftop feels like a juke joint, and the lobby beckons with easy chairs.
